Information Service Division

Information Dissemination to create public awareness is the core function of OIC with three senior information officers on board and a photographer. All are journalists by profession, supported by a qualified photographer. It is also OIC's wish to coordinate and rationalise dissemination of government development information effectively and efficiently. ISD is taking full stock of government publicity officers in all government departments in an effort to operate an efficient public awareness machinery for the government. The Information Services Division has over the past years operate on a very small budget leaving all its programs and activities scaled down. It is pleasing to advise that the Office has managed to secure some funding for some major awareness programs being initiated this year.

Information Dissemination and Public Awareness

OIC also believes in reducing illiteracy rate in the country and at the same time create public awareness. The following publications will help educate so many people in the country. Much of the distributions of these publications are organised through Post PNG (postage) and government departments and non-government organisations distribution network and schools through out the country.
